30 Days of Jate - Day 30: A list with your TOP 5 Jate scenes

Not exactly my top 5, but five of my favourite scenes! I did it this way, simply because I cannot choose my top 5..

• (1x23 Exodus) This scene always give me goosebumps! (and in a good way) The way he so carefully slides her backpack on, the way their fingers brush slightly, and the way his hands linger just a little too long on her shoulders… it’s just too good for words. Can you say UST? It’s so subtle yet so obvious… And once you find out that Jack switched the dynamite from her pack to his, because he wanted to protect her, it’s just so much sweeter!  
  
• (2x23/24 Live Together, Die Alone) They’re both scared and confused and they have no idea what’s going to happen! And what to they do? They look at each other, in what may be the last moment they’ll ever see each other again, and to me that look is a promise. It’s like they’re promising to have each other’s backs and to not give up. It’s saying “everything’s gonna be all right, trust me.”
  
• (3x07 Not in Portland) I don’t think I’m able to fully explain what this scene means to me. It was the first scene in lost that ever really got me crying… It’s so honest, and their heartbreak is just so… real. She desperatley doesn’t want to leave without him, but she has to! and it’s tearing her apart… And Jack’s doing what he always does - protecting her. “You fixed her… you saved her.”
  
• (5x04 The Little Prince) It’s not so much the scene, but Kate’s line “I have always been with you” that makes this one of my faves. Jack’s asking her if she’s with him, and her answer just takes my breath away! She’s like: “Of course I am… I’ll always be on your side, why do you even have to ask?” and I think Jack really needed to hear her say that. And so did we :) 
  
• (6x17/18 The End) The End, was truly epic… And I love this scene, because it was so… healing, in a way. We had just watched their heart breaking goodbye, yet here they are… they found each other again. Kate just lights up when she sees him, and you don’t doubt her for a second when she tells him how much she’s missed him. And I kinda love that Jack doesn’t remember her at first… She’s obviously sad that he doesn’t, but it’s like she didn’t expect him to either - cause it’s Jack, and she knows that he’ll come with her, because he felt it. Felt their love.. their connection. And I love Kate for how tender and patient she is… She’s been without him for so long, and it’s so obvious that she just wants to fling her arms around him and never, ever let him go again.  

Wow… didn’t mean for this to get so long! Sorry, lol. Anyway.. I’M DONE! Can’t beilieve I finished it… Thank you Lies (Lostbeth) for making such an awesome meme - I had a blast with it :)

30 Days of Jate - Day 29: Favorite Jate Hug

(6x14 The Candidate)

At first I was going to chose the Moth hug, but I changed my mind… This hug just means more to me now, especially after having watched The End. It’s just so… instinctual. Jack and Kate have always looked to each other in times of crisis - in the past, no matter the situation between them, they always had each other’s backs and despite everything they have put each other through, despite all the anger, dissapointment and misunderstandings, they still do! They still love and need each other… and for one brief little moment, nothing else matters but that. And they allow themselves to cling to each other and hold tight, because thank god they’re both okay. Kate seemed so lost when she tumbled to the ground in front of him, all she could focus on was him. It was clear that the thought of losing him, completely broke her, which makes it all the more heartbreaking, ‘cause we all know now that in the end… she did.

30 Days of Jate - Day 27: A Jate Scene that Makes You Happy

(4x10 Something Nice Back Home)

A scene that never fails to make me smile and squee with happiness is the shower kiss! Every time I watch it, I get that fuzzy-warm-butterflies-feeling in my stomach. It’s so natural, comfortable and sweet with the “Morning”, his little knock on the shower door, him wanting to wrap her up in the towel, but she just ignores it and wraps herself around him naked. They look so deliriously happy, and you can just tell by their expressions that they had a night of heavenly-lovin’ ;) and that kiss… *thud* it’s tender and sweet, but oh so passionate as well. And I remember screaming my head off (YES! YES! YES! YES! OMG OMG OMG OMG) the first time I watched it! It was so well deserved for them and for Jaters to have a happy moment :)          

30 Days of Jate - Day 26: Favorite Jater on the island.

”What ever happened to you guys? I thought you were gonna get married and have like a dozen kids.” - Hugo ‘Hurley’ Reyes

Because he wanted that happy ending for them as much as we did :’)

30 Days of Jate - Day 24: Favorite Matthew & Evangeline moment.

I loved, loved this whole photoshoot, it’s my favorite one that they ever did. They look so natural and happy. And in all the behind the scenes and interviews, it’s so obvious that they really care about each other and have a lot of fun when they’re together. And they’re just the two most gorgeous people ever - look at them being beautiful together!

But my favorite part of it and my favorite moment is when in the interview Evie says: ”I have to savor (…) every single day that I get to be working with Mattew Fox, because when that ends… it’s gonna be damaging.” Matthew’s reaction to this is just so hilarious and sweet - at first he comforts her, stroking her back and being like “Awwwww” and she’s looking at him being so sincere and then he just cracks up “Damaging?” and his laugh and smile is just… guh.. and then Evie can’t help but giggle either and it’s just all too cute and too precious.

30 Days of Jate - Day 23:  Favorite Writers quote on Jate.

• “They know each other within the context of universal recognition. They have met before in this life and they will meet again in another.”

Not really sure who exactly said this, but I don’t really care ‘cause it’s my favorite quote about them and it’s the EPIC truth! 

30 Days of Jate - Day 22: Favorite friend of the couple.

Charlie Pace

I chose Charlie because I loved the friendship that the three of them shared, especially in season 1. They were the original A-team… they were the first three to go off on a mission, and I think that that experience stayed with them. Charlie helped them both out a lot, and I loved the bigbrother/sister and little brother thing that sorta evolved between them. A scene in particular that really showed how much they cared about each other was when Jack and Kate saved Charlie from being strangled. That scene always gets me… And when they mourned Charlie’s death together by the cockpit.

They are both such Jaters and have said some amazing things, but I think my favorites are these two, because of how simple and clear they are. They’re sweet and to the point.
